Your designs: When you export a design, it's saved directly to your device. We never see it.
Personal information: No account is required. We don't collect names, emails, or any identifying information.
Payment information: TextShape is free. We don't process payments.

3. Information We DO Collect

To improve TextShape and understand how people use it, we collect minimal, anonymized data:

3.1 Analytics Data (via Google Tag Manager)

We use Google Tag Manager to collect aggregate usage statistics. This includes:

Page views and navigation patterns
General location (country/region level, not precise)
Device type (mobile/desktop) and browser
Core Web Vitals performance metrics (load time, interactivity)
Feature usage (which tools are popular)

This data is aggregated and anonymized. We cannot identify individual users from this data.

3.2 Local Storage

TextShape uses your browser's Local Storage to save your preferences (like font choices, colors, etc.) so they persist between sessions. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

4. How We Protect Your Data

Our architecture is designed around the principle of data minimization:

Client-side processing: All image and text processing runs in your browser
No upload servers: We don't operate servers that receive or store user content
HTTPS encryption: All connections to textshape.app use TLS encryption
Security headers: We implement security headers including X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, and Referrer-Policy

5. Third-Party Services

TextShape uses the following third-party services:

Google Tag Manager: For analytics (see section 3.1). Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Vercel: Our hosting provider. They may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps). Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts: For typography. Google may collect usage statistics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies

TextShape itself does not set cookies. However, our third-party analytics (Google Tag Manager) may set cookies for analytics purposes. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you're in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right to access: Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to access
Right to deletion: Clear your browser's Local Storage to remove your preferences
Right to portability: Your designs are already on your device
Right to object: Disable JavaScript or use a privacy-focused browser to prevent analytics

8. Children's Privacy

TextShape does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The Service is designed for general audiences and does not require any personal information to use.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
